Fanshawe migrated to the SaaS (Cloud) version of Archibus last September (2021). The cost increase to maintain a hosted model became prohibitive and now we’re struggling with stability and support for this new delivery model.
Is anyone else experiencing ongoing concerns with Archibus? Any favourable breakthroughs worth sharing?

      Hi Rich,
perfect timing, Conestoga College went live on August 10th, I’m also interested in any feedback or any ongoing issues that I should be on the lookout for.

      Thanks,
      Tony

Humber bought licenses, which were very expensive, but allowed us to stay with the hosted model and move to the newer version. The newer release is better, and everything is now stable and working fine.

Longer term (5 years or so) I’d be open to something more user friendly, innovative etc because I can’t see Archibus evolving quickly. But for now we have to get value from the licenses, and better the devil you know…..

        Hey Spencer,

Have you had a chance to work with or try out the Workplace components within the updated version? Although as Rich said we are experiencing support and stability issues, workplace does seem to a significant step forward from a user friendly functionality for the clients anyways.

Algonquin just completed our upgrade from v22.1 to 2022_3 last week and are pleased with the product. We switched service providers and are now with JLL. We bought hosted SaaS product licenses. The product is stable and the return of drawing visibility previously lost due to our old version has made our team very happy 🙂 We also implemented single sign on which has made sharing access to space data easy. Our IT, Risk and Security department now have access to a read only resource for room and drawing inventory. I agree with Kevin’s comment about Workplace, it has a nice interface that I have received lots of positive feedback about.
